# N3XD
|

|
|
Parametric CAD in the browser. Sketch it, constrain it, extrude it, then slice or
|
|
simulate it without exporting through three other programs and a prayer.
|
|
|
|
The geometry is real OpenCASCADE, not a WebGL impression of it, and the heavy
|
|
lifting happens server side so your laptop fan can go back to doing nothing. It
|
|
also speaks LLM out of the box, because "make that wall 2 mm thicker" is faster
|
|
than hunting for the dimension that owns it.

|

## The moving parts
|
|
|
|
- **`ocp`** hand-written bindings to the OpenCASCADE geometry kernel, so Python
|
|
can talk to solids without the usual suffering.
|
|
- **`assay`** the simulation engine. Mesh in, fields out. Tells you whether the
|
|
part survives before the real one does not.
|
|
- **`forge`** the fabrication engine. Turns a model into layers, toolpaths and
|
|
G-code, permissively licensed so you can actually use it.
|
|
- **`index`** the business layer. Accounts, projects, sharing, and the library of
|
|
parts and materials that keeps you from redrawing the same bracket twice.
|
|
|
|
## Why can I not see any of this?
|
|
|
|
These repos are private for now, mostly for security reasons and slightly
|
|
because we would like to tidy up before company arrives. They go public soon.
